JINIHIRU (UK) LTD COOKIES POLICY

Last updated: July 31st, 2026.

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how JINIHIRU ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on jinihiru.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. JINIHIRU Ltd (a company registered in England & Wales, company no. 16973333) is based at 70 White Lion Street, London N1 9PP.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your preferences, and give us information about how the site is used. Similar technologies — such as pixels and local storage — work in comparable ways; where we say "cookies" we mean all of these.

3. The types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary — required for the site to function: page loading, security, our online shop and checkout, and remembering your cookie choices. These are always on and don't require consent.

Analytics / performance — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use Squarespace Analytics, which sets non-essential cookies; with our cookie banner in opt-in mode, these run only after you consent.

Functional — remember choices you make to personalise your experience, such as embedded content.

(We don't run advertising pixels, so we set no marketing cookies of our own. Some cookies may still come from embedded social and video content — see below.)

4. Cookies set through third-party services

Our site uses third-party services that may set their own cookies:

  • Squarespace — hosts our website and shop, and provides site analytics.

  • Bookings (Timely) — we link out to Timely to take bookings; we don't embed it, so it sets no cookies on our site. Once you click through, you're on Timely's own site, governed by Timely's cookie and privacy policies.

  • Social embeds — where Instagram or TikTok content is embedded on a page, it may set cookies.

  • Payment processing (shop) — when you buy from our online shop, payment is processed by Stripe, which may set cookies to process payment securely and help prevent fraud.

We don't control these cookies. Please review each provider's own policy (section 7).

5. Cookie details

The cookies confirmed on the site are listed below. A CookieMetrix scan (31 Jul 2026) found one strictly-necessary cookie present before consent. Analytics and embedded-media cookies are set only after you accept, so their exact names and durations should be captured in a follow-up scan taken after accepting cookies.

Cookie Provider Type Expiry Purpose Consent
crumb Squarespace First-party Session Secures session-specific interaction with the site (security & navigation) Not required — strictly necessary
Squarespace Analytics Squarespace First-party (see post-consent scan) Measure how the site is used Yes — set only after consent
__stripe_mid / __stripe_sid Stripe Third-party 1 year / 30 min Fraud prevention & secure payment at shop checkout Strictly necessary (checkout)
Embedded media Instagram / TikTok (when embedded) Third-party when embedded Display embedded social content, e.g. a TikTok feed Yes

A social embed (such as the TikTok feed you plan to add) is already covered by the wording above, so switching it on later won't need a policy update.

6. Managing your cookies

When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser and reloading the site, which brings the banner back so you can choose again. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete them, though some features may stop working as a result. For guidance, see the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
